HOW AND WHY DO WE CLASSIFY THINGS?
Why do we classify things?
Classification of things is done in order to facilitate easier and faster identification. This process involves the separation of unlike things and compilation of like things allowing easier grouping for purposes of analysis and noting similarities or patterns. It aids in displaying or communicating complex relationships more effectively.
How do we classify things?
We use the Domain, Kingdom, Genus, Species and etc.
We also use names to keep things in groups like at the supermarket (oranges, apples and pears).
